I LOVE my Chi hair straightener! I'm not sure how much exactly it is since it was a birthday present, but I think the one I have is $180.

I'm not sure how much they retain for in the States but I've always used GHDs mine recently broke so I bought a newer model and they are amazing! Seriously good straighteners and they last well, I had mine 5 years and was using them pretty much daily! Plus they come with a two year warranty too.

I like my lee strafford 'straighten up' straighteners are really good and worth te money - £45 ( however I got them in the sale for £30 ). I have very thick hair that is usually difficult to straighten , however it doesn't take to long with these x

My hair is naturally wavy and I have a hard time keeping my hair straight but my babyliss pro with titanium plates is perfect. my mom is a hairstylist and the whole salon swears by them they get hot fast and works wonderfully. plus the come in cute colors.

Now that I think about it, everytime I've used a chi, it actually makes my hair frizzy! I'm now thinking about getting the Paul Mitchell Smooth +, has anyone ever used this??

Ask taylor^? But I personally don't like chi's they make my hair frizzy as well. I would try something like what Julianne suggested, a straightener with titanium plates... But be aware that they heat up really fast & hot unlike the ceramic plates (also ceramic tends to break easier over time). I suggest researching about a good titanium straightener

I actually just looked up a picture of the straightener that Julianne mentioned & I have tried it before! My cousin has it & she has really thick frizzy hair I tried it one time & it was the straightest my hair has ever been, not to mention it didn't frizz as much as if I used my chi
