Is it really necessary to use a setting powder after a mineral foundation?

Depends if you feel you need it a setting powder is not necessary unless you would like it to be its your makeup routine you choose what you believe will make you look fantabulous : D

I never powdered after mineral foundation.. you can if you want to :)

I believe it really depends on your skin type. Personally, I would not use setting powder after the mineral based foundation, however, for someone that is extremely oily (I have combo to oily skin) it might be a good choice to prevent creasing, fading of the foundation, it becoming patchy looking, etc., though I wouldn't recommend it for someone with dry skin (:
