There is always people who says sunscreen doesn't really help your skin but others disagree. What do you girls think?

I can see the difference in those who dismissed sunscreen for years.

Some chemicals in sunscreen can cause cancer so try to find a chemical free one.

I have an identical twin sister and she never uses sunscreen. I on the other hand use sunscreen religiously and my skin looks comparitively better than my sisters. She has premature wrinkles and all that but I have nooone. I honestly think its bcuz I wear sunscreen. And I don't think its made my skin pasty...I still get tan (well I did in the summer at least, its hard to get tan in the winter).

The risks of not using sunscreen are MUCH worse than using sunscreen. Damage from UV radiation can cause much more serious types of cancer than some of the chemicals in some sunscreens. Additionally, premature aging of the skin can occur when you don't use sunscreen.

I use sunscreen everyday but I only use organic or physical non nano sunscreen because I noticed s visible difference between chemical and non chemical sunscreens

Honestly I think it's important since my dad had a malignant melanoma cut out from the back of his head and next to his eye, the coke sized patch after his surgery hasn't shrunk in size and he won't grow hair in that particular spot anymore, I'm pretty conscious about skin cancer, it seems to run in my family lol and sucks even more I'm a redhead naturally so I have even more chance then them Hahah.

Honestly I think you would have to be stupid to think that by not wearing sunscreen your protecting your self from cancer. Growing up in Australia I've had to wear sunscreen everyday even during the winter so I've never thought much of it.

I love sunscreen!! Although a lot of people say African American people do not get sunburned... Trust me it happens my face will burn. Sunscreen is my life saver especially because I don't look good in hats

Seeing as I will burn if I don't apply sunscreen, I'm perfectly fine or burn less with sunscreen, I think it does something

As Jacqlyn W. pointed out, there are a lot of studies and respected organizations showing that sunscreen is a must for the long term health of your skin. Here are a few:

I think it does because sunscreen protects your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays from the sun that can cause skin cancer, skin diseases and dark spots as well ☀️☀️
