Definitely try an ice pack, you can also get a product called Arnica which reduces bruising.

I'm a domestic violence advocate...you yelling at him does not justify getting a shoe thrown at you. I'm sorry this happened to you. :( What we use at the shelter for our clients for bruising is an ice pack and arnica. And to cover it up Dermablend concealer. Physically abuse me n his mother turn him against me all the time, even I alone do household work whole day n my MIL does nothing.. She doesn't cook she doesn't clean the house or anything.. It's sad.. I really don't deserve to be treated like they do..! I am not supposed to go to see my parents, I don't know y!

My heart hurts. If you reach the point of wanting to escape the US government recently included domestic violence for those seeking asylum into our country. Things are different in other countries and its not as easy to escape an abusive relationship like it is in the US. There isn't anything we can do unfortunately other than talk. I'm sorry, love. I will pray for you. As for the bruise, I use a plastic baggie filled with ice and put a paper towel over it.
