So I recently read a few articles about the exfoliating products that use plastic in their exfoliating creams. They harm the environment when they are washed down the drain (after rinsing your face) and are harmful to animals because they don't dissolve in water. I want to know if this product by boots is environmentally safe. Does anyone know of products like those that harm the environment that I should stay away from? And which ones are ok that dissolve in water?? Let's start the discussion! ❤️🌲

I heard that it was the little exfoliating balls inside the scrubs and masks!

All of the scrubs with plastic parts instead of for example sugar are unsafe, just check the ingredients list. If you shop online they should have an ingredients list on there too.

Just make sure the little balls are biodegradable

I heard that too. Those scrubs are being phased out and will be gone by next year from what I've read.

Depends on which beads a lot of them are natural and biodegradeable so there really isnt a lot of them with plastic beads to begin with.
