So can you only contour your cheekbones and still look okay? I mean use a cool toned foundation to contour your cheekbones and wear a blush but no foundation, highlight etc. or would it look funny? I usually wear light make up and no foundation. my face has gotten more square recently so I want to start contouring.

Yes you can:) I don't wear foundation either and I do use highlight but I don't use blush:p and to me it looks good.

No, it wouldnt look funny if blended correctly. Sometimes I skip everything and just apply my contour and it still looks okay!
If you want to contour for a square face there's super helpful pictures on google for specific faces shapes. I'd definitely recommend looking at those!(:
