Hair dyes usually have this information on the side where it gives you a picture on the hair colour how it looked before dying and how it will look with this specific dye

My recommendation: do NOT go for Splat. I had a horrible experience with Splat in which my deep purple dye turned pink with blue tints, and it was terrible. I suggest looking to Feria for this type of color: it reminds me of a burgundy.

Manic Panic is good for "odd" colors, but messy! It doesn't stay awhile but the color it has gave me, with various shades, has been lovely!

Wait you didn't want a salon sorry, it might not hurt to ask them though. but I also agree with Cleopatra, I love using manic panic, though it depends on if you will bleach it or not.
