I don't know what I am doing wrong but no matter what my pores seem to always be clogged.. I had a facial a week ago and my pores are back to being clogged especially around and on my nose(if you press on my nose white puss will come out..sorry gross I know).. I wash my face twice a day, do a clay mask twice a week, use a toner , apply a retain-a gel nightly , and apply lotion. I also clean my face with my clarisonic every night.. any suggestions on what I can do to improve my skin? thanks in advance xoxo.

I have this same type of problem too I haven't found anything that works yet :\ but I can't recommend the revlon photo ready white primer for makeup if you just press it into your pores it makes your foundation look so much better and not all stuck in your pores.

I get the exact same thing and it's only on my nose. I know how you feel, it's really irritating. I hope you find something than can help you because so far, I've failed to do so.

Same!! I tried the biore blackhead strips today. They worked okay but not a big difference :(

I have the same problem, I think it's common and I've come to my own conclusion that there isn't a way to keep them permanently completely clean, it sounds like you cover all your bases. I agree with Jessie B, just find a good primer to use under makeup for times you need to look your best :)

Try drinking 3 liters of water everyday. You won't believe the dramatic changes you will see not only on your skin but in your whole body!

Elena with all due respect certain people with medical conditions can not drink that much water so is suggest not telling people to drink a certain amount of water.

That's called sebaceous filaments , it's a over production of sebum and over cleaning and over drying out your skin just irritates it and makes it produce more try switching back and forth between a hydrating cleanser and a salicylic cleanser tone with a alcohol free witch hazel toner to balance your skin and I no it sounds strange but try using a tiny bit of jojoba oil at night as a moisturizer because if your skin feels dry on the surface it will produce more of the filaments you can't just get rid of them but you can control it a bit.

3 liters of water is extreme. I don't even think I chug down 2 liters of liquid a day...let alone water. I agree with Jenna.

Shelley it's dangerous especially if a beautylisher had kidney problems or congestive heart failure.

Too much oil. Also may be lack of water, diet plays a big role in this. I have this problem. Super difficult to deal with but I wipe my nose and around it down with isopropyl alcohol and replenish with a light moisturizer to balance. I know it's harsh but it's all that works for me. Hope this helps.

Traci is right on the money with Jojoba oil. That's what my serum has in it.

Alex and everyone else, do you recommend any face exfoliants? Also following because this problem drives me up the wall 😞

It's true that certain people can not drink that much water. So it's also true that certain people with contact allergy can't use a big amount of cosmetics recommended here. So take advice as it is: an advice! I'm sure that people around here with kidney problems or congestive heart failure know exactly what to do.

Have the same problem. I've been drinking lots of water about 3-5 litres a day depending if I work out. drinking water definitely helped me. I'm also using the Garnier Charcoal face wash for blackheads. It works for my blackheads and clogges pores. I still have some around my noise but the ones on my chin have gotten better. try using aloe vera if you have a plant around. cut a leaf off put ut with the opening down in a bowl/cup and wait a few hours till there's a green liquid running out. apply the liquid onto you face. your skin will probably look complete sh*t as first but if you do it two three times it will become smooth and shiny. but remember to do this after sun set. try not to get light while its on your face or you will get some bad brown spots. same with cocoa butter. do face masks. wash your face with hot water first to open pores, use fash wash and then use cold water to close the pores again. I do steam baths every one to two weeks. Boil water, put in a big bowl, let it cool down a but so the steam doesn't burn your face, take a towel to cover my head and the bowl, and hold your face over it. I stopped wearing foundation and switched to foundation powder. my skin is definitely cleaner and smoother with less blemishes. sorry for the long post /.\ good luck

I have the same problem in the nose and cheek area (around nose) and ugh it bugs me! But lately I've been using a clay mask (home made DIY) and it works pretty good and leaves your skin OH SO SOFT!! It's bentonite clay and water or apple cider you can add activated charcoal or honey.etc. but trust me it works, and if it doesn't try a facial cleaner

Donntttt do scrubs everyday or exfoliate more than 2wice a week, if you breakout a lot it will only irritate & cause redness
