My hair is in need of some help! In the past I have dyed the crap out of my hair (just a year and a half ago I bleached it so bad I lost hair and had to cut it off) but now I'm trying to grow it out to my natural dirty blonde.
Unfortunately I've always had dry hair. So far Herbal Essence's smooth line of shampoo and conditioner is the only stuff that keeps my hair dry (my assumption is because it's sulfate free maybe??) and I'm using It's a 10 leave in along with Paul Mitchell's Skinny Serum. It all works okay but my hair is still a bit frizzy and completely lacking any shine.
Anyone out there with dry, somewhat frizzy, thick, straight, blonde hair who could help me?

Try coconut oil as a hot oil treatment. leave it in as long as you like. I usually leave it a few hours, but you could leaveit overnight :)

I agree with kat my hair had been dried out and had split ends and coconut fixed my hair. It's amazing.

I use coconut oil and extra virgin Olive oil together as a hot oil treatment, they are amazing. No split ends any more, its so smooth and silky and even the part I recently bleached is already getting healthy again. You can also try oils like argon and keratin treatments if you think the dryness is from damage.

Shampooing only once a week and using oils really does help.

My hair's pretty much the same, and I use L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil, which really helps my hair feel healthy and hydrated :)
