I have a pimple on my forehead I've been trying my best not to pop it so I am applying a spot treatment to it three times a day and so far its been three days and its still not gone the first day I did the spot treatment it did go down in size and redness but yesterday and today it still seems the same size so how long does it usually take for a pimple to go away?

Try a charcoal mask as a spot treatment. Apply it to only the spot you have a pimple and let it set. I use the Glamglow mask and it helps my pimples go down in size and redness after 15 minutes. Don't overdo it because it can be drying and once a pimple dries up, it turns hard, which is even more difficult to get rid of. Also, exfoliate your face to help get rid of the buildup of dead skin cells and to help smooth out the surface. I would use a very gentle exfoliant if you're going to try everyday, which is not recommended, or just do it 2-3 times a week. Also, try using a sulfur spot treatment. Sulfur medication is generally really good for helping reduce the size of a large pimple. The best one I've been using is Eradikate from the Kate Somerville line.

I had to take today off with the spot treatment I woke up my face was all red and itchy and warm where I used the treatment so I am going to let my face rest today because I also use a 2% salsic acid wash (sorry I butchered that word) and a benzime? acne exfoliation scrub with an okay cleansing tool.

Tea tree oil, sulfur, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid are going to be your best bet. I would start off natural with tea tree oil (The Body Shop has a really good one, or you could try Lush's Grease Lightning), and see how that goes. It can be irritating to some ppl, but I love it! Another thing especially for problem pimples that I do, is apply a calamine based or sulfur based cream/lotion to the zit at night and then wash it off in the morning with a gentle cleanser. The products I recommend the most for this would be any of the sulfur based acne products by Mario Badescu: Drying Lotion for whiteheads/problem pimples, Drying Cream for small bumps, and to use under your makeup as a treatment like concealer, and definitely try out the Special Healing Powder; it contains sulfur and you can apply it as a healing agent for pimples to help absorb the oil (sebum) from the pimple and also if you might get the urge to pop it, it will help speed up the healing process! Anyways, hope this helps :)
