Dressy outfit ideas??

I have 6 days coming up where I need to wear dressy clothes, and while I have some in my closet, I would love new ideas. It is hit and miss finding clothes here in Bolivia that are long enough to be modest on me. Any diy ideas or ideas of pieces that I could look for that would work with a lot of outfits? Or outfit ideas that are simple, but can be dressed up with accessories? By dressy I mean skirts and blouses / dresses. And what type of outfits would flatter my body type? I am about 5 8 and have an athletic body shape. I apologize for the length I just could really use your help!

Also my closet includes a lot of maxi skirts : black, black and grey striped, Navy blue, and a few others.
