Hey! Would love to get everyone's advice for getting faster with clients. I seem to go back and forth from good time, to definitely to long. The clients never mind, but it is really bugging me. So what are everyone's advice for speeding up applications?
Thanks!

Well, better brushes mean better and faster blending :) that's what you could think of :)

Multitasking. Prep the eyes while you get set up or while you are doing the client's hair (if you do that), then prep the face while you work on the eyes. Having your kit organized and in order helps. If you can, practice with a friend and time yourself. See how long each step takes, and figure out where you can improve. :)

Thanks for the replies guys, I will keep working on it! Mary, the shadows make sense haha, now that I think of sometimes I do use more than actually needed. Emily and Lakshmi , I think with some clients I take longer with their brows, especially ones that want them really filled. Any tips with that? How long will you guys take with your clients usually?

I do SFX so brows aren't really my department, sorry. My stuff varies from five minutes for simple pale vampire/corpsy makeup, to upwards of 1-2 hrs for multiple prosthetics and other goodies.

For beauty makeup I think the general timeline for a full face is 30-45 minutes. At least, that's what I've been told by friends who do beauty/bridal.
