I miss you, Beauties! I left my makeup bag and brushes at a friend's when I moved and nearly 3 months later, she's still not shipped them to me. Alas, I'm trying to replace my beauty basics little by little. I can't afford expensive brushes, but was looking at Coastal's brush sets and Crown's.

Suggestions? Experiences?

I'm open to getting a better foundation brush, then a little lower for a variety.

Help please! I've been stuck using the contents of my paltry little makeup bag that I keep in my purse for emergencies. I've even had to go without my skincare items and eyelash curler! I've been in Beauty Heck. :(

I haven't tried either of them but I know many girls here love the coastal brush sets. As for foundation I would recommend the real techniques expert face brush. Their brushes work great and are budget friendly (:

I'm a huge fan of Crown Brushes, but I like Coastal Scents too. :) I've never tried the brush sets from either brand but I have a few of their single brushes. I like Coastal Scents face brushes more for face and I like Crown Brushes eye brushes more. When I placed my first Crownbrush order all the face brushes came to me smelling WEIRD (like...strong burning plastic? or something similar) and I was like "hmmmm" but figured the smell would come out when I washed them. It took them like 6 months of washing to lose the plastic smell and they're fine now, but it was still weird and made me hesitant to put them on my face. Like 4 months after that I placed another order with Crown Brush though, and every brush came to me perfectly, smelling of nothing. So I think I might have just got a weird batch that one time but it was bizarre nonetheless! Also, a lot of Crownbrush's brushes are natural hair, whereas Coastal Scents has more synthetic brush options! I'm sure Crownbrush has some too, but Coastal Scents breaks all their brushes down by synthetic or natural, making it easy to sift through them. :)
