Hi All - I'm new to Beautylish and I don't think I saw this exact question being asked, so I'll ask:

How much should I charge for an hourly rate on TV/Film sets? I know the price range for Weddings, but I don't know if I should apply the same, less, or more?

I recently started some gigs for some indie films and working for free, but products and film makers are interested in hiring me for other jobs. I honestly don't know what to charge. I live in NYC, so I know I can charge a little higher.

As stated above, it is inappropriate to charge by the hour. Day and half day rates are standard, with overtime negotiated over an eight hour day. Keep track of your daily call sheets and document everything, you will need it if you try to join the union at some point.
