How do you work with a matte pigment???? Dry they just dust off and leave no color....but wet they blend weird and kind of crack and knock off.

matte pigments are just a little bit harder to blend i think. you need to build the color up slower than you typically would. that is my experience! its kinda like how with pressed eyeshadows most matte eyeshadows take longer to build up! good luck!

I agree with Jackie you just have to build them up. but if you looking for really good matte eyeshadows Inglot has amazing ones and their Matte colors are supper pigmented and don't take much to apply.

I love my inglot matte shadows. I just have never really used a matte loose pigment before and I had one laying around that I was trying to play with and it just seemed difficult lol

I have used a few that have been nearly impossible. I find that some just won't apply well dry no matter how much effort you put into them.
If that's the case, you can use them over a sticky base or try them wet.
If I'm using a base, I'll go for one with some grab that doesn't set on it's own, like a NYX jumbo pencil.
If I'm using it wet, I'll wet the brush, blot the excess liquid on the back of my hand, then work the pigment into the brush and apply as I would with a less stubborn dry pigment.
The bane of my existence right now: MAC Magenta Madness. Love the color, but it is truly evil. It knows how much I want it to work and takes every opportunity to mock me.
