What is the best cream/product to use to dry up a pimple overnight and to also reduce redness?

I've heard the Mario Badescu works WONDERS with acne. Now I don't know if it will clear your acne overnight, but it will significantly dry up a pimple so it's less noticeable and red. Try their Drying Lotion. It literally does what you want it to do. Fairly cheap for a product that seems to have positive reviews. $17 online on the Mario Badescu website. I've also seen it at Ulta for the same price, but if you use their coupon for $3.50 off $10 or more, you'll save a couple dollars. It's not available on Ulta.com though.

I wouldn't recommend the Mario Badescu product for this situation much since it's mostly based off of Salicylic Acid (which is just an exfoliator) Actually, I wouldn't recommend any product with SA for an "overnight" product. While it does have Sulfur, it's not much of a quick drying ingredient. Not saying it wont work, but it's not for overnight success. But all skin types are different, so you never know!!!

Now, there IS this one product that dries up pimples FAST & overnight - but you REALLY have to know your skin type & how your skin reacts to Benzoyl Peroxide before using. There are products out there that DO have 10% Benzoyl Peroxide (which is a acne bacteria killing ingredient) This HAS to be used only for emergency situations &/or severe acne situations because it is VERY strong. I do believe 10% Benzoyl peroxide is the strongest you can get without a prescription. This is one of those products where a LITTLE goes a VERY long way just because of how strong it is.
A cheap 10% Benzoyl Peroxide product is the AcneFree Terminator Medicated Spot Treatment. $4.97

Sensitive skin/dry skin people should stay away. This is definitely more for the oily, acne prone type skin. It's a guarantee to dry up & quickly get rid of the pimple FAST.

But if you are a little frightened by the 10%, you could use a 2.5% spot treatment that can work for all skin types - while it wont work as fast as a 10% BP product, it will still dry up your pimple - especially if you've never really used Benzoyl Peroxide products before.

A cheap one is the Neutrogena On The Spot Acne treatment cream. $6.00

^I agree w/ Andrea... BP must be used w/ caution. I used a 10% BP [PanOxyl] a little overzealously, and it dried my skin so bad, the corners of my lips cracked. Don't listen to people that tell you to leave it on for as long as it takes for it to dry, then wash it off! Contact with your skin should be the same amount of time as you would use a cleanser and wash it off.

Now, I have tried Benzoyl Peroxide on pimples before and I totally forgot about it! Not saying it doesn't work, but like Andrea said, you HAVE to know your skin type. I tried the same 10% BP product and it caused a bit of redness and swelling in the area but that's because I have sensitive skin. Just research about the products and know your skin type. :)

Definitely Mario Badescu sulfur drying lotion :))

an alternative to the MB drying lotion is Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion, they are the same thing but you can get BBB cheaper on ebay with free shipping.

try a little bit of Phillips Milk Of Magnesia on the skin, it will help to control oil and magnesium has antiseptic properties.

Just adding to the advice train:

Before putting anything on your pimple, ice it up! Also, Persa-Gel is a great Benzoyl Peroxide product that you can get over the counter. BP is the best because it acts as an anti-bacterial so it prevents the formation of new pimples. The best way to apply BP is to put it 15 minutes or so after washing your face, and, if you have sensitive skin, before moisturizing. You only need a thin layer on affected areas, going overboard and hoping it will work faster just irritates the skin and wastes product. Honestly, if you're desperately looking for a quick fix and you have access to a dermatologist, the best thing is just to get a cortisone injection and that will reduce the swelling and redness in no time. If I were a dermatologist already, I'd be zapping my face all the time, lol.

Pshh.. I can't just let them be or put product on them. I usually take a warm shower and then get rid of that bad boy- two Q-Tips and it doesn't stand a chance! Then I ice the area and put a drop of Visine on it (it's a vasoconstrictor so it takes the redness out of pimples too!). By morning it's usualy a flat red spot that I can easily cover with concealer. I know, terrible advice.. I'm guilty... but I just can't help it!

Use vicks , its not for acne or pimples but it really helps. I had a cystic pimple yesterday and I put vicks on it overnight and it went down ALOT. and I can barely see it.
