I recently bought a MAC eyeshadow from eBay in shade "Typographic".
It's become a staple for my smokey eye looks.
Problem is, it looks more like a dark grey than black to me, when I've heard it's basically meant to look totally black. On the website it appears darker than mine and says it has a matte finish, but mine has a VERY slight pearl finish.
Does anyone think I'm a victim of a fake cosmetic retailer?
I really hope not as I've grown to love it and would be distraught if I didn't know where to buy it again if it isn't really Typographic.

Sounds like you purchased a fake to me. Matte eyeshadows contain no shimmer.

yea it def sound like a fake products....but hey if u really enjoy it you can always just re buy it from the person you purchased it from on ebay....just because its not really mac doesnt mean that it cant be a great color....

But you have no idea of what type of ingredients are in a fake product. That's why it's best not to buy or use it.

I know typographic is supposed to be a black grey, but it's not perfect black on me without the aid of my bulletproof shadow from sugar pill. The texture is buttery smooth for smokey looks though.
Hope you report that person! It sucks being duped on eBay!

Like others have mentioned sounds like you were scammed. Let EBay know and file a complaint against the seller.

I was a victim once..the packaging was all wrong. & even if it is nice, it sucks that you paid "MAC" price. Report it and Negative feedback if they dont refund you your money
