What do you think of higher end hair products? Do you think they're worth spending the money on, or do you find drugstore hair products just as good? From my experience, all of the higher end hair products I've tried are much better and I don't mind spending more for better hair products. Although I do want to try out the Moroccan oil and the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair mask that a ton of people have been buzzing about...it is quite expensive though, if you've tried it do you think it's worth the price?

I checked out the ingredients in the Moroccan oil and decided to just buy some argan oil instead (I went with the Josie Maran argan oil).. I add it to my homemade hair masks and was super impressed with my results.

I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money on the Morrocan line but in general I think a lot of the high end products ARE worth the price! I got the Joico K-Pak reconstruct line and it's amazing.. so is the Fekkai technician mask. One thing that was a super bummer though was Bumble and Bumble's deep conditioner- I was so peeved I spent $30 for a mask that wasn't as good as my homemade ones!

Honestly, I have never been happy with drug store hair products. My hair is particularly dry and fine and has significant color damage from years of bleaching. I figured my hair was just doomed to be in that condition forever--until I got my hands on some professional "high end" products. Things like L'Oreal Professional Cellular Repair Balm and Joico K-PAK have seriously saved my hair. Companies that charge more for products seem to spend significantly more time on their formulations, working with ingredients that strengthen and condition the hair on a chemical level and do exactly what they say they will.

Plus, like Ainslie above, I have severe allergy issues with a lot of "cheap" ingredients and detergents. High end products tend to use better ingredients and I know what what I'm using won't cause the reactions I've experienced with drugstore products.

I love drugstore hair products. I will splurge on extra things like hair masques and leave in conditioners, but as far as Shampoo and Conditioner goes, I will stick to paying less than 10 bucks a tube.

I really love the L'Oreal line of shampoo and conditioners. I won't use any drugstore brands that have Sulfate, only the sulfate free ones.

My hair is in great shape && I get complements on it all the time. I do not think that paying outrageous prices for shampoo and conditioner is necessary at all.

Now, I do own the Macadamia Hair Masque and I absolutely love it so far. I will be posting a full review on it soon. It costs 30 dollars, so it is quite expensive. I think you can buy little packets for 5 dollars though. They should last you like two washes. I only use it once a week, so it will last forever. This is worth it for me because it will last a long time.

I have tried Joico, && I really don't understand the obsession with it.

I guess everyone will have different opinions! But I stand up for the DrugStore brands! :)

Ok I know this will sound like a plug, I'm sorry, but Cristophe Professional hair care is at CVS about $10 a bottle and really great shampoo and conditioner. Our styling products are really good too, try our Argan Oil its very similar to the Morrocan Oil for laying the hair shaft flat for faster drying time. Here is the link, http://bit.ly/uQy2ii . But other than that my second recommendation would be to check and see if the high end lines are being made by a sub line, example Kerastase is produced by L'Oreal so even though they might not have the exact same products they will have the same quality. So buy L'Oreal and save a few bucks.

The most expensive haircare product I bought was Lush's Rehab shampoo (almost $30 I think it was - so I was super hesitant, really glad I bought it though!). It was absolutely amazing! My hair is shinier and has definitely grown much faster than it used to! I should also mention the shampoo lasted a while. I'd approximate it lasted 6 months with me using it every 2-3 days (I don't believe in washing hair everyday) so I guess in that sense it didn't end up being too pricey.
It just recently ended and I wanted to continue being sulfate-free but looked for something cheaper. I went for the Live Clean's Argan Oil Restorative Shampoo. My hair seems to like it so far, so yay!

i daily do shampo with conditioner ,conditioners must b good i use dove for both i buy from costco ...i love conditioning with that makes my hair silky soft smooth shinning..but i want to dye my hair in golden.i don't have idea..can any one plzz help me?

I do really prefer the high end over drug store. I do also think Shampoos and Conditioners from Drug Stores are way better then they use to be though. As far as the MNO line I LOVE the Deep Repair Masque seriously their is nothing like it. I also love the Healing Oil, Shampoo, & Leave in Texture Cream!!=D

I have a pro card so when I buy professional products I buy it at 50% off. I'm always amazed how expensive the stuff is to non-pros and would NEVER buy pro products at full price. Mostly I use Suave Professional unless it's a specific product I want like
TIGI Bed Head Candy Fixations hair care products TIGI Bed Head Candy Fixations.

Since using high end products, I can't go back to drug store brands, I can really notice the difference. My favs are Bumble and Bumble (mostly, creme de coco!!!), Fekkai (mostly, the colour tech 3 min mask, even if you don't have coloured hair, it's so nice!), and more recently, Lush's tub/bottle ones [veganese conditioner!!!]. (they aren't really 'high end' but you know, whatever ;P hehe. Their solid shampoos don't work well for me at all!).
