I love black polish matte w/a glossy finish or w/glitter. I work @ Victorias Secret and I have to wear all black so black polish always matches. And since we have to dress in nice black clothing it looks more chic and edgy :)
I know some people say that to rock black nail polish your nails have to be short so they don't look to goth, but I think it doesn't matter.
I have to agree with Andrea Scarlet though, black nail polish looks really... trashy and unkept if it's chipped! Especially since it's nearly the opposite colour of your nail it's really noticeable.
I have a black nail polish that has rainbow holographic glitter in it too, and I think it's gorgeous.
I recently bought a matte top coat and since a bunch of you ladies have said that matte black looks really nice, I've been thinking about doing something like experimenting doing a half moon mani in black but only having the moon being the creme finish!

I love wearing black nail polish with tribal/ethnic inspired outfits. Somehow, it's the only color that seems to work with wooden accessories, antique silver, tribal prints, matte bead and shell embroidery.
Not on myself....but it looks great others. I actually wear black nail polish with any other colors like...Red, Brown, White etc.

Yes, if done right. It can add an edge to an other wise non edgy outfit. You can also had simmery/glitter on top to soften the color up.
Love it anytime of year! Essie Licorice is my fav! Trés chic!
I like it b/c it makes me look less "bubblegum" with my blonde hair.
Not a fan, I usually go for more neutrally colors and pastels. I do like using black as a base for glitters like the Essie Luxe Effects polishes, in which case I would use Revlon's Lingerie. Seriously the best black polish out there! I also like to go for almost-black nails.
Absolutely! All black in winter, and in the summer French tips to match the black bikini!

Looks awesome and dramatic, but I make sure to keep my nails very short and rounded when I use it otherwise I look like a witch. it pairs really well with a cool-colored outfit and one black accessory - like a black belt or black suede pumps. Looks great with gold jewelry too!
I say ALWAYS yes! Can never go wrong with black nail polish.

Oh yes!! Black nail polish looks so pretty if you wear it right! Say with cute clothes... not anything gothic..
Yes, i think its very chic and simple. With the right outfit, it can be glam or causal. i dont think its only a goth trend.
I wear it all the time. Right now i have a burgundy color, and my middle fingers are black :)
Yes, Black nail polish can be so sexy. Not necessarily if the chick is rockin' the Elvira look lol but seriously, with a little black dress or any cute outfit. I think it's chic.
i love black nails!

I love black nails. :) I rarely go for a jet black though, I generally gravitate toward almost-blacks and blacks with micro glitter.
I love black but I would rather go with one thats so dark its almost black.. like OPIs lincoln park after dark or siberian nights.. super shiny top coat and its amazing
I love black polish with glitter and I'm looking for a mattefying top coat but black alone is kind of boring. I'd go for red first.

Other girls seem to carry the black nail polish look just fine :) But on me, nuh-uh! I don't think it suits me. And I prefer pastel or neon colors better :p

Yes yes yes! My favorite nail polish color <3
Absolutely! I think as long has your nails are shorter in length and are well groomed black looks very chic.
My favorite dark polish is OPI Black Cherry Chutney, it's a great fall and winter color, but I wear it all the time... Also, the new color Smoke & Ashes from the China Glaze Hunger Games collection is a great black with green shimmer.
