I HATE my eyelashes! They're short and thin:( I have been on the hunt for the perfect mascara that lengthens like nuts, curls, volumizes, and is waterproof since I was about 14. I have come across many that have nearly fit the bill, but each one has one little thing that keeps it from being absolute perfection. I tend to lean towards false lashes for images for the B.Koi website or special events/dates with the hubby. What is your absolute favorite mascara, drugstore or otherwise?
For me, I love Doll Eye mascara by NYX in Long Lash Extreme Black, but it's not perfect. I've tried quite a few MAC mascaras, but none of them have been exactly what I'm looking for. I've tried just about every drugstore mascara out there. Somebody invent this holy grail mascara I need!

I LOVE Kanebo 38 Lengthening and Separating Mascara. I've always had a hard time with mascara smudging on me, but this one doesn't give me any issues! It has a Japanese thermal formula which means it comes off with warm (38 degree celsius--hence the name) water. It also contains fibers, which lengthen but in a natural-looking way. It's expensive, but it's definitely my holy grail. My lashes look a million times better with it on.

Two of my favorites are Lancome Definicils Mascara and Benefit's BadGal Lash! If you have short lashes, I would probably recommend you go with the Lancome mascara, because the brush that comes with it is more narrow, so it is easier to control. They both provide good volume and length, however.
Have you ever tried a primer, by the way? Tarte makes an excellent mascara primer called MultiplEYE that I always use before applying my mascara. It goes on white and helps add thickness and length to your lashes. All you do is apply it and give it a few seconds to dry before applying your mascara as usual. I love Cover Girl lash blast the original one (orange tube) I also like loreal paris collagen mascara (but not waterproof) I like Maybellines One-by-one, and almay's dial up mascara..All drugstore and awesome. I'm filming a "my favorite mascaras" video soon so you should check it out :)

BUTTTT it was so hard to remove!!! and it made my lashes super crunchy :( lemme know which japanese mascaras you try! oh, btw, have you tried the FAIRYDROPS' Scandal Queen? I wonder if it's any good

@Hazel I JUST heard about Fairydrops the other day! It's on my list of "must-try mascaras". It's definitely not cheap, but I'll pay for perfect mascara!
@DeShelle I like Falsies, but four tubes later I'm finding it kind of hit or miss for some reason. Sometimes it clumps and sometimes it's fine...no difference in my lashes. Not bad for drugstore though :)

i love covergirl's lashblast.. i actually have the fusion & volume.. i love love love it! it's humid here where i live but it doesn't smudge, even if it's not the waterproof mascara (i dunno why i just don't like waterproof).. i really recommend it :)

For a drugstore brand I love to use L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes!! :) The wand works great, even one coat looks fab & I haven't had a problem with clumping.

CoverGirl Lashblast Volume! (purple tube). It's one of the best mascaras I've EVER used! I also love Revlon's Grow Luscious by Fabulash because it gives amazing volume and length. L'Oreal Voluminous is also great, as well as Maybelline Lash Stiletto :)

I don't like "The Falsies" much. I did a review on this site and included a picture. It wasn't pretty. I decided to give it another shot when CVS had a sale and it seems like this tube wasn't nearly as clumpy.
I love Lancome's Hypnose. It is expensive but so so HG.

I have a ton of mascara's, and I keep going back to the same one.. when I want very black and long lashes (which is all the time) I use my Estee Lauder Magna Scopic Mascara

My favourite right now is Este Lauder's Sumptuous!! I love it as it coats all my lashes, makes them look lovely and they still feel soft and not crispy!

I was on the hunt too! But what I use now is I first apply Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion, then over that I use a coat or two of Maybelline Colossal. Hope this helps!

I love, love, love L'oreal Telescopic mascara. Although I think I might try their Voluminous line.
Pretty much Lancome, Loreal, Maybelline, and a whole bunch of other brands are own by one power house company.
Drug store brands include: L'oreal, Maybelline, Garnier
Department store brands include: Biotherm, The Body Shop, Giorgio Armani, Kiehl's, Lancome, Ralph Lauren, Shu Uemera
Other brands include: Matrix, Redkin
I guess that's why a bunch of drug store brand stuff looks like department store stuff. (i.e. L'oreal's mascaras vs Lancome's mascaras)

MUFE's waterproof Smoky Eye Mascara is my HG.
Lash Blast in waterproof is my drugstore HG, but not was intense at MUFE's.
For reference, I have incredibly straight and short Asian lashes. I've tried all mascara's out there, from high end to Japanese brands and none of them fit the bill as the two mascara's I mentioned above. Good luck!
