I love clearances and on Monday found at my local Target the Almay Pure Blends liquid foundation on clearance for only $2.24 (or was it $2.42?, either way it was under $2.50). The original price was $8.99 so I figured what a great steal! I bought one since I’ve never used the product and have heard that Almay makes cosmetics for sensitive skin. I really wish I didn’t waste my money!

I took my morning shower, washed my face using my normal facial cleanser and after my shower applied Rare Minerals Facial Moisturizer (no longer made) like I always do. I got dressed and afterwards proceeded to gather what makeup I wanted to wear today to do my haul videos. I didn’t get past the foundation before coming back downstairs to write this review.

I HATE this foundation. Absolutely HATE it. It burns my skin despite the fact that the label claims it’s 97.4% natural and hypoallergenic. I only experience foundation “burns” when I used Wet ‘n’ Wild’s Intuitive Blend Shade-Adjusting Foundation+ Primer. On top of that the foundation had an odd smell, not as in the foundation had gone bad but as in a nutty smell. I read the ingredients and see that it contains various items including jojoba seed oil, sweet almond oil, rosewood oil, carrot seed oil plus numerous other natural ingredients so I’m chalking up the smell to the oils in the product.

As I’m typing this my skin is starting to feel calmer but it still hurts and I’m going to have to go wash this stuff off as soon as I’m done.

The foundation went on fine and blended fine but it feels greasy on my skin and that’s probably due to the oil in the product. Coverage was severely lacking. I like my foundation to cover my skin since I have Rosacea on my lower cheeks. I did seem to have a reaction to the product which made my Rosacea look much worse than it normally is, I don’t have this problem with Make Up For Ever HD foundation (which I’ve been using primarily).

Would I buy this again? Absolutely NOT! I’m happy I didn’t pay full price for it but wish I didn’t buy it in the first place. I don't recommend it if you have sensitive skin.
