Personally I have a chi, and it is NOTHING compared to ghd! my fried has a ghd and it glides through your hair without any pulling and breaking on your hair!! the chi is ok, but it causes alot of breakage on your hair! i hate it! its a good straightener but it pulls on my hair. idk if that happend with everyone, but i've never ever had that problem when using my friends ghd!

It does help. I have a CHI as well and it does pull on my hair too. I have fine hair so it irks me when I see breakage and hair in my sink lol! Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you used both. That helps me a lot!!

i have very fine hair as well!! I hate using my chi because it alwaysss breaks my hair! then I feel like it makes it even finer than it already is lol. your welcomee, always glad to help :)

I own both but the GHD is so better I never reach for my CHI. I would toss it to be honest except my GHD was stolen while traveling so I will bring the CHI with me to travel from now on. While using the CHI my hair became really dry and I had a lot of breakage. Also my hair looked dull and my hair color faded more quickly. The GHD gets my hair much straighter in less time. My hair is glossier and much less damaged. When switching back to the GHD I noticed the difference immediately...for sure worth the extra cost in my opinion. It pays itself back in the long run.

Well I tried my ghd and I really do love it! It made my hair silky and light. It pulled on my hair a little bit, just a little bit though. There is more shine to my hair too. I'm very very happy. Thanks again for all your input ladies :)

I have the ORIGINAL Chi, the one that is actually made in North America.. not that one that is made in China. I got mine about 4 maybe 5 years ago and it has never ONCE let me down, I love it.. it makes my hair look and feel amazing. It has never once pulled my hair.. I can't say enough good things about my Chi. I'm literally going to cry when it dies because you can't buy the real deal anymore.
