For me it would be Mac just cause I never ventured into Nars and I find it a little bit expensive.

I prefer more MAC products over Nars. I can't stand Nars shadows, they're super chalky.

I just bought my first MAC product, nars is a tad bit more expensive so I haven't been able to try them out because of that.

I like both it depends on the product and how it works, I love both of their eyeshadows but I notice NARS is more expensive but a little more pigmented

I really like both brands, but do find that NARS is pricey as others have mentioned. I don't own many NARS products as a result of the cost.

i feel mac has more products and more to offer and its a little cheaper then nars, but i definitely like nars a lot.

Sandra N. I agree with you. Although I have 3 Nars blushes and a few other products that came in a Sephora kit, I prefer MAC. I am a student and just can't effort to pay those high prices.

I like both. I tend to buy MAC more just because MAC is closer to my house and a bit cheaper. But if I'm ever in Bluemercury I do check out the Nars products

I will probably have to say Nars. If I wanted eye shadow, I'd usually went for Make Up For Ever Shadows. I think I'm bias because I tend to go to Sephora more than MAC. It's been years since I set foot in a MAC store.

From both, I'd only ever only purchase blushes, shadows and brushes... and MAC would have to be the winner in those departments. NARS is too cumbersome - I dislike the packaging although I like the feel of it in my hands... it gets covered in powder and it bugs the dickens out of me. Also, I prefer everything in palettes, so organization-wise = MAC FTW!
I still don't see the prestige in NARS products, since many of it's items are easily dupable, and the pigmentation isn't as mind-blowing to me as everyone says it is. I'd prefer MUFE shadows, so I feel MAC and NARS are in the same league, just different branding and pricepoints. *dodges shoe being thrown my way* =(

let's start with MAC!
- I love MAC, first higher end stuff I've ever used. Great shadows, lipsticks, and in general. It's amazing! I don't care for a lot of their blushes though! But MAC is basically the "art" of makeup, I think it's a company that really changed things for the beauty industry. I personally think a lot of their shadows are so amazing, of course every company makes a few things that certain people don't like or it just doesn't work for them, but for the most part I am almost always very happy and joyful when i buy something from MAC! It is also VERY affordable ( HEY HEY HEY - we're talking high end here! it's cheaper than a lot of the other high end stuff!) I find 14.50 a shadow not to shabby actually considering it will last forever because the pigmentation is so great! I love myself some drugstore stuff but i also love MAC
-NARS.... I LOVE NARS! Holy guacamole! It's really expensive but I do NOT think it is overpriced. why? the packaging and everything about it LOOKS expensive and I think you get what you pay for. I love their duos I only own 4 shadows ( 2 duos and 2 singles) from NARS and they are so amazing! Not all their colors, like MAC are awesome though; but like i said that goes for any brand. $33 for a duo may seem high but it comes out to around 16.50 for a single shadow, about 2 dollars more than MAC; in some shades TO ME it is worth it! I also LOVE Nars blushes but i do NOT care for any of their lip products with an exception of Turkish Delight lipgloss and even that has a funky dunky smell to it!
With that said, MAC does have better benefits like BAC2mac, BUT Nars can be bought at sephora to build rewards also!
So my final verdict....
MAC baby! I just think it is more reasonable, and there is always something new to try and find! I love both! But MAC is my little darling brand in my collection haha

I LOVE LOVE LOVE NARS!
But MAC has a lot more hits than misses compared to NARS - I love NARS blushes but their eyeshadow are odd - MAC all the way! & they're cheaper so yayy. lol

NARS has some gorgeous blushes, but other than that MAC has a wider range of products and they are more affordable.

i prefer nars. i feel like the shadows are more pigmented and you also aren't as overwhelmed with choices either. i dont think i could never handle a 15 pan palette from mac. there are so many lovely colors id like to have in my collection, that i'd go bananas haha. with nars, sure there are a lot but it doesnt seem as overwhelming. also, with the duos, you do get that luxury of "more for your money". also, i do love mac blushes, i reach for mine almost daily but i'm going to explore nars more because i've heard just as amazing things about them.

I think the majority of people are going to say MAC! MAC is great because it's one of the cheapest high end brands.
I especially love because you can always "Back 2 Mac" the majority of their products. (:
I do, however am in love with (and so is everyone else) Nar's Orgasm Blush, Laguna Bronzer & Albatross Highlighter. (:

i like both, but i buy more mac because it's more affordable. i love the nars packaging though, and i'll buy nars bronzer over mac's, etc. it just depends what item i'm going to be buying. eyeshadows and lipsticks = MAC for that.
