Hey :) I'm coming to the USA next week, and I could sure use some help from you girls living there. I live in Norway, and we don't have many make-up brands to choose from, most of it is quite pricey as well.
I need a new mascara, and I want a good lipstain and lipstick as well. Do you have any recommandations for my? If so, that would be great! Also; any brands/products I should stay away from?
Thank you ^^,
Where are you planning on shopping for makeup in the US? Drugstores? Supermarkets? Or Sephoras and Ultas?

Mainly drugstores, but if I come across a sephora or an Ulta, I'll definatly go shopping there as well.
If i was going to the US,id look on youtube for US hauls and write a list of what you wanted to buy :)
if your mainly sticking to drugstores, revlon and maybelline are the best drugstore brands in my opinion. revlon has good foundation, they just came out with the revlon colorstay whipped foundation that is amazing! they also have liquid colorstay foundation thats also very good, and ive heard good things about their lipsticks. maybellines mascaras are awesome, my favorite is the lash stilleto volumtious. their color tattoo eyeshadows are the best, and last forever. and i also really like their baby lips chapsticks. other than those brands, sally hansen has really good, pretty cheap nail polish. milani has good bluhes. i would suggust to just stay away from covergirl... and a lot of beautylish girls would agree with me on that! hope this helps, and have fun on your trip! :)
Thank you :))
Avoid Covergirl and Loreal! (Cover Girl is just gross, and Loreal is a huge market for testing on animals)
I have tons of reviews on my profile here if you're interested in certain things!
For mascara i would totally invest in theyr real by benefit! Dat mascara is ammmazing!! :) i think its about $22.

As far as drugstore, definitely Wet N Wild because I don't believe they are international. Also NYX, I love their stuff. Some really popular products now in the US are the Revlon Lip Butters, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, Revlon Whipped Cream Foundation, Maybelline Color Tattoos, and so much more. I could write all day, but depending on your preferneces try whatever you have interest in. But also, yeah, like Livvy P. said the best way is to look at US Hauls and see what a lot of us buy.
Oh go to a sears! They just started carrying NYX there! Thats a great brand and cheap.
What state are you goong too?
Thank you so much girls! I'm going to tennesse, california, oregon, washington and washington DC. I doubt that I'll get to do much shopping in DC or tennesse, as we're only going to be there for a couple of days each.
Saphora or urban decay or how ever u spell it lol

Also; do any of you know about a good cream eyeliner?
like a gel eyeliner? maybelline has a good one and the sephora line at sephora also has one that works very well :)

Cover Girl doesn't have the best makeup, but they do have one of the best sellers in mascara, CG Lash Blast. The reviews speak for themselves! Also, as a mascara junkie, one of my faves is the CG Lash Perfection. Otherwise, there are some great suggestions above :)

If you can go to a sephora, take some bobbi brown corrector or concealer, depending on which one you prefere. I like in Canada and i'm so mad i cant have this brand here! I just ran out of my corrector last week and i'm dying right now! They are the best concealer in the world! I know you didn't say you need one but check this out if you can go to a sephora store!

I'll check it out :))

Try to check out a Sephora store, they carry the YSL glossy lip stain which I cannot praise highly enough! Its never drying, never smudges, lasts through a meal ( so long as it isnt really greasy food) and has a huge color pay off! Its a bit pricey but IMO its completly worth it
Avoid Rimmel mascaras. Try lipstick from Revlon! They have so many colors to choose from.
You're going to be in some great cities and will be able to easily find a Sephora or an Ulta. If you can, definitely try to get to one instead of the drugstore. You'll have so much more fun! Brands that are great to explore: Too Faced, Illamasqua, Nars, Urban Decay, MAC, Make Up Forever... there are lots of great ones, but those are all a good place to start. When you visit the shops, you can test stuff out to see what you like.
Have fun! Sounds like a great trip!
