Not sure if anyone will be able to help me with this but I'm desperate!

So I've always had thick, healthy hair, and while pregnant with my son last year it became extra thick and healthy. Well of course about 4/5 months after I gave birth I started experiencing that awful postpartum hair loss. It wasn't too bad, but I was definitely losing a lot more than normal. It seemed to stop for a month or two. Now I'm 6 months pregnant and unlike last time it's falling out in giant clumps! My clothes, my car, and my house are constantly covered in my hair. I have to unclog my shower drain nearly every time I shower. Not to mention pull a big handful of my hair out of my brush every time I use it. I'm seriously scared that I'm going to be completely bald within a couple of months! It's also really dry and ratty, which has never been a problem for me before. I'm not sure if it's just my hormones or what.

Anyone had something similar happen or have any idea what I can do to stop all my hair from falling out? Many thanks in advance!

I guess I might mention that I take pretty good care of my hair. I don't use heat and I do a deep condition with coconut oil about once a week. I take prenatal vitamins and DHA and drink at least a gallon of water every single day. I really don't understand why this is happening.

Have a balanced diet. Eat nuts, fruits and vegetables.

Try phyto hair pills you can get them from sephora. They really helped me. My hair is super thin and fine

Only a doctor can diagnose you, talk to your OB, might just be a health concern, who knows!

Thanks for all your replies. Dana, I do eat a very balanced and healthy diet. Kate, I will look into that :) not sure if I will be able to take while pregnant but worth looking into. Mary I did end up talking to my midwife and she said that while some women lose less hair than normal while pregnant others lose a lot more than normal, so I'm sure it's just my hormones and will hopefully stop once I give birth.
