I just want to say that I have never, not once, purchased a Sephora brush that I liked. Maybe it's just me, but I found them all to be total crap.
I like MAC, of course, but a lot of their fuller powder brushes shed like crazy and are very rough. I like Louise Young, Sigma, and a lot of the Shu Uemura brushes.
Oh! And I forgot about Japonesque. I'm always consistently surprised by their softness, lack of shedding, and the way they hold their shape well with daily washes.
I highly recommend the coastal scents 22 piece makeup brush set. It runs for around $35 and the brushes are amazing. Also, if you can find them, Estée Lauder brushes are nice and soft, but can be ridiculously expensive. Sephora brand are great also
