I have no pimples on my face, but i always get these tiny white bumps that looked like my pores are clogged on my chin and nose area.i always get rid of them, but how can i prevent them?
use an expoliant once or twice a week. i use it everytime i shower which is every other day. it helps clear pores and keep them un clogged
Exfoliate, and don't be stingy with the toner. I get the same bumps a few days after I wax, and they're a pain!

I agree with everyone who has posted here. You want to make sure to exfoliate your skin. I have always been advised that once a week is all that you need for exfoliating; however, it is recommended to use a toner twice a day. I use Clinique's toner. Also, a good facial scrub to exfoliate is St. Ive's Apricot Scrub or Burt's Bees' Deep Pore Scrub.
Thats the thing, i do exfoliate. And i use a toner every night. They arent really bumps but they look like something is about to come out my skin and i have to pop it and theyre super small. Im very good with my skin and thats my only issue
are they whiteheads?
I think so, im not exactly sure.
i've had whiteheads since middle school. my mario badescu drying lotion reduces the size of them, but if i stop using it, they get bigger. i'd love to know how to get rid of them, if it's possible!

it could help to drink lots of watter to be honest. If you dont drink a good amount of watter a day our bodies produce excess oil to replace the watter intake it needs, hence the extra oil that clogs our pores and give us white or black heads filled with dirt.
Drink 2 glasses of watter a day on a minimum and try a night and day washing routine to minimise these white head problmes. Washing before bed is important, even if you dont wear make up or feel that yr skin is dirty and it is the same for a morning wash.
I recomend Marks "that's deep" cleanser to wash yr face every morning and night, once a week add the exfoliateing beed that you can purchase seperatly just to give yr self that extra clean. match it with "matte chance" mattifying lotion, to ensure that you keep oil at bay :) these products arnt expensive and if you dont like them, you can retrun them at any time, even after a month.
I left a comment before saying to use St. Ives Apricot scrub, but actually, someone on here told me I should stop using it because there dermatologist said it was bad for your skin, then I researched it and several others on this site also said that there dermatologist said not to use it because it is very harsh, a long with other bloggers and reviews I have read they say the same thing, that it is dermatologist tested but not recommended.
Going to stop using it now, it did clear my pores but it was essentially also making my skin worse, it didn't make me breakout more but the exfoliant in it is harmful to your delicate facial skin 0__o

you can try using a cleanser that has salicylic acid in it..
I dont mean to sound like a bitch, but i do everything and have been doing everything that has been said on here lol. I have a strict skin routine and other than that issue my skin is clear.
Sabrina, hi! I know what you mean because I get them too on my nose (specially the tip) and my chin. I´ve done everything these beauties have said and more, trust me, but nothing seems to work. I want to try the Clarisonic Mia 2 because I have a feeling that it may help me get rid of those clogged pores. I will tell you if it works or not. I will order it this weekend.
I think that the problem is that my pores are kinda big on my nose and chin area therefore they get clogged easily. I only have that problem in those areas because they are the only oily ones I have, the rest of my face is sensitive and dry. Anyway, the one thing that has helped me get rid of them, for a while at least, is facials. I go to the Elizabeth Arden Spa and ask for a facial. So they remove my black heads and white heads. I do one facial every 3 months more or less. I know it´s expensive but I like to get extra good care of my skin. It makes me happy. I´m sorry, but it´s the only solution that i have found that works on me. Exfoliators are too harsh on my sensitive rosacea skin. Aside from the Clarisonic I also want to try those enzyme exfoliators... but they are kinda expensive.

thank you bella for understanding, i seriously take such good care of my skin, and i always drink water. (its the only thing i really drink) and i still get them. the clarisonic is fantastic, i sold mine but i really wish i didnt and i hope you enjoy yours! and i may try to find somewhere close to me that does facials and see what they can do for me. thank you for the advice!
It could be millia. They are tiny white bumps that kinda look like little pearls. Check with an esthetician, they will be able to tell you if they're millia or not.

I'm going to school to be an esthetician. That sounds like milia for sure. Milia occur when dead skin becomes trapped in small pockets at the surface of the skin. The "pus" doesn't have enough room to pop out on its own so you have to create a new opening for it to come out. So they poke into it and the stuff will come right out. You have to press harder to it hurts more. I would leave it to an esthetician to do it though :)
hmm now that ive read this thread..I have white bumps under neath my lip, they sortta just sit there doesn't get bigger or get any smaller. I use face mask but doesn't seem to reduce it.
Guys what Sabrina is talking about is not milia. It's pores clogged up with a white substance. I have them too on my nose and chin. It's hard to get rid of them and they are recurrent. Not pimples and not black pores. Something between.

Your best bet is to visit a Derm. If it is milia, it will have to be lanced out and a Derm can do that, a Esthetician cannot (at least in California we can't) If you are in CA and you call and ask if they use lancets run. It's illegal. If you visit the Derm and he/she says its not milia, try a glycolic exfoliant and try a facial with a esthi you trust, read reviews on nearby spa's and have a consultation with a esthetician for extractions! =)
Glycolics I like: Murad Exfoliating acne treatment gel (for VERY oily skin)
Murad t-zone pore refining gel (for combination skin some areas dry, others oily).
let me know how it goes!
I'm not sure if this is the same thing... but I get white bumps on my face too. They can be anywhere, really. At least in my case, I'm pretty sure they're little cysts that are filled with keratin, maybe this is milia? They look like slighty raised white bumps and when squeezed (I know, gross), a whitish looking, but not pussy, stuff comes out. Mine have gotten a lot better over the years, especially with exfoliating like some of the others have said. But I always make sure to use oil-free products and stay away from anything that is too rich for my face. I'm not sure if this is the same thing you are experiencing... it may be something completely different. I hope you find something that works for you though. You've probably already tried the things I've said work for me, haha. Good luck.

The only real guaranteed way to help treat whiteheads and blackheads is the use of a very inexpensive treatment...egg whites. Step 1. wash and dry face. Step 2. take one egg white or part of that you've saved from breakfast and beat until foamy. Step 3. apply to face/affected area(s) and let dry for about 5 minutes and wash off. Step 4. reapply egg white, cover with simple tissue(toilet paper) then apply gently--try not to rip tissue--egg white. Once desired area(s) are covered leave on for about 15-20 minutes. Once dry, your egg white mask will feel very tight, peel off slowly, once removed wash face and moisturize if needed. Warning...make sure not to put egg white and tissue on eyebrows due to the tightness of drying the removal of the tissue will hurt like hell!! Follow this procedure at least twice weekly and you will see wonderful results.

i've looked up pictures of millia and it's definitely not that. it looks nothing like that. and what keri is talking about is what mine is. its underneath my lip and around my chin area. and Ladi's P i'll definitely try that! i'm trying to find anything that will help.
