Try overstock.com and homedecorators.com. Check out eBay and shopgoodwill.com too. In those cases you'll have to find something local for pickup, but never hurts to look.
i have the vanity from IKEA, it might be discontinued now but its basically HEMNES 3 drawer chest with a mirror and 2 small drawers on the tabletop. i dont really use the big mirror much cuz its too far, so just the drawers and a mirror might work. it fits TONS of stuff. WSITN on youtube has the same one and he did a storage vid too. hope it helps! =)
i have been thinking about getting a vanity as well. mine will have to be compact, because my room is small. i am going to build me one, no not like hammer and nails. a simple desk and some walmart orginzers, maybe a little super glue. this way i can personalize it to fit my specific needs.
Search garage sales & thrift shops first -- I got mine for $10 from my neighbors! Even if they're ugly, you can always spray paint and embellish. Then, definitely check Ikea, because everything there is super cheap!
I just bought this vanity, from etsy...it wasn't cheap but it also has a matching dresser. I've been using borrowed or hand me downs but now I'm "old" enough to have the vanity of my dreams. I'll post a pic w/ my stuff on it.
Top view...I've changed a few things but I can't post a new pic, the lighting stinks at this hour (still working on a solution for my lighting...love suggestions!)
I'm not sure what your home decor style is but you can always try going old Hollywood. Get some large yellow light bulbs from your hardware store and have the wall area on top of your mirror glow. If you have issues punching your walls with holes get a floor lamp next to your vanity that has a soft glow. Something like the Ikea Orgel Vreten. http://www.amazon.com/Ikea-Orgel-Vr...
The problem in my vanity area was the lighting was too yellow. I couldn't make out my foundation or eye shadows when I applied. I put some small LED lights around the mirror. http://www.amazon.com/Sylvania-3600...

Best bet would be to try the goodwill or an estate/garage sell. Then do diy crazy, painting it.

Craigslist, Goodwill or any other thrift store, garage sales. Sand, paint, enjoy :) And you'll know there's no other vanity in the world like yours!
