Soo, after recently getting my hair dyed to a carmel brown, i really am concerned about using a hair spray that has SPF in it to protect my hair. Can anyone recommend any good products?
I don't know of a hair spray that has SPF in it to protect your hair but I do know there are some leave in SPF treatments for your hair. If I remember correctly Kerastase has one that is a little on the pricey side. You might also want to check out shampoos/conditioners for color treated hair. Some of them provide sun protection as well. Hope this helps!
i use a product by Redken called color extend sun sparkling shield, its a leave in shimmering spray that protects hair against uv rays, chlorine, and minerals! i think it works pretty good and its not expensive. hope this helped!

i always tell my clients to put sunscreen in their hair...yes i mean like old school lotion sunscreen...first mist or wet your hair then apply just like you would a leave in conditioner...this is more for day at the pool , not really for an everyday wear...but just make sure to shampoo it out when you come inside...for a daily wear, paul mitchell sun shield, it only block UV rays, but its really the only "sun shield" product i recommend...hope this helps..good luck..xo sarahann
If you don't want to buy a shampoo/conditioner with SPF , you could just use a heat protectant whether you are using heat styling products or not. Or Garnier Has a shampoo and conditioner, the Color shield with UVA/UVB Protection, meaning it has SPF. (:
Contrary to what seems to be popular belief, most thermal protecting sprays do not have UV shielding ingredients. You need to look specifically for a product that states it was formulated to protect from UVA/UVB rays.
Pureology has a UV Protectant Spray which is great for color-treated hair. I use it myself.
