Is hair chalking unhealthy for hair? I want to do it for a summer get together kind of thing... But I dont want to damage my friends hair! If it's ok, does anyone have suggestions?

I dont really like the chalk so much as oil pastels i streaks the pieces i want then spray hair spray on them to set it! The chalk didnt do any damage to my hair though when i tried it!

Hi Morgan, I tried chalking my hair, and I found it a little drying. It's not a big deal if you just do it on occassion though. I suggest just using a good quality conditioner and leaving it in when you're washing out the chaliking. hope that's helpful
