I have like, three hang-nails at all times. It's extremely annoying. I mean, bad nails run in the family (we've all had ingrown toenails- I've had eight. Nail strength isn't so good, and we all have peeling nails. And the really weird thing is when my nails peel, they peel from UNDER my nail, lol) But my hang-nails are really what gets to me. I try to let them grow out enough that I can just pull them off without tearing the cuticle, but most of the time I'm not as patient and pick at them, and try to bite them off. Is there anything to be done? :(
Well, tearing them isn't bad if I let them grow to the point that they're all dried up and barely holding onto the cuticle. Clipping them bothers me, because there's always that little stub... And I DO use cuticle oil! >.< My nails are just so annoying- which is the reason I've never really been much of a nail person. Or hair for that matter- it's never been longer than my shoulders. >.< I'm mostly just makeup, lol. But I try.
Wow! That's some trouble! When your skin or nails come up like that it can mean that you aren't taking in enough calcium. And as for the peeling nails take biotin. It help to strengthen you nail. And try some tea tree oil. Or some lavender oil. :)
