You could try waxing its dosent leave a shadow like shaving does, baking soda could be very tough the delicate skin under your arm!

I can't attest to its effectiveness at lightening your skin, but I do want to assure everyone that baking soda IS gentle enough for the skin under your arms. It is gentler than most facial scrubs, and the skin on your face is undoubtedly much more delicate than the skin on your underarms.
