Ok so I'm writing an outline for an informative speech about makeup. but I am not sure what to write about. this is how my outline looks. I need 3 main points and then 3 points for each main point. if that makes sense. Also maybe someone could help me with a more specific topic?..Thanks for any help!

Em.that's good but the intro wouldn't be purpose of makeup. For those topics listed, the intro doesn't go together. The intro would need to introduce what you are going to talk about, say it's informing your audience how to apply makeup. You'd maybe have an intro giving a brief history of makeup, like when it started and how you will discuss the different ways to apply makeup. Then you could have the body discuss different ways to apply, like fingers, brushes, sponges and what to do with each. Then end with a summary/conclusion and also best to leave the audience with something to think about, like which method would they choose or something like that.

No prob. :) I took speech not toooo long ago. We had to do an informative speech. I did mine on why to prepare for zombies lol my friend knew someone who did the same topic but talked about what to do, I actually said why, listing evidence that there are things out there now that could lead to zombie outbreak etc.lol.

Oh wow I have an informative speech coming up too lol. it's so annoying but anyways my professor told me the best way to do the intro is a bit of history of makeup and today's make-up. one interesting fact she told me was back in the days I totally forgot what war when woman went into bomb shelters they only carried lipstick it was like it can protect them.

Too inform talk about who what where and why. What would cover the application. Why would be the purpose. Who: can talk about different styles among different groups(like grunge, modern, ect. Or go crazy and talk about different cultures key makeup looks.) also: for an intro you can talk about a famous person who has used/ revolutionized your topic. The person can make the topic seem more relatable to the audience. (Sorry I wish I could indent on my phone to desperate ideas) I would stay away from how to apply and brand names. Because it will alienate your audience. If half your audience is male they will most likely fade out. And the 20 percent of the female group at least will not know about makeup. So consider your audience. Sorry I am on my phone so this may be jumbled together... Good luck.
