I've created mine by printing them out. I don't use regular paper though. I go and buy paper good for watercolor and artsy stuff like that. This is because it has a texture that makes it easier to apply makeup on.
Try an app called glamzy. You can make face charts right from your phone or tablet ans save or send them to an email for printing or sharing later. There's a free version but its not very helpful so I recommend just spending the .99 for the pro version. You can even copy one side to the other so it saves you time and the look is symmetrical. Its pretty nifty
