So my hair is pretty much in a bun 24/7 and for like the last 5 years that's how it's been, I just realised I need to get a new hairstyle lol. Do you girls have any haircut recommendations or maybe a subtle colour change? I was thinking getting it cut to my shoulders but I don't think I'm brave enough cause I've been trying to grow it to my bra area and it's like an inch away, I'm so stuck and tired of always looking the same you guys ☹ lol!

Let them grow a lil more til your bra area as you want
Get layers in steps they'll suit you
If Once you chop your hair till shoulders you'll not be able to much more styles you can do with long hair...
I prefer you to go with long hair

Instead of bun.. try braiding... fishtail n dutch styles or french they are amazing.

I had long hair for a while and recently wanted to do something different, but I love the look of the long. I got some long layers cut in, and I love it. It looks so much better and there's a lot less hair to deal with, but no ones noticed I got it cut. I agree with the first response from experience; try cutting laters in slowly to see what you like :) you can chop in a second, but it takes so long for it to come back, especially when you don't like it.
