My hair has no natural volume to it, I tried using a voluminous hairspray but it did nothing, I tried using baby powder too but it didn't work either. Any suggestions?

What is your hair care routine?

Dry shampoo in the roots helps. The living proof dry shampoo is good, just lift up sections, spray, and mess it up a bit with fingers.

Hi! Try a hair kit a local salon should carry this. what you should look for is a lift kit or volume kit. the kits normally include shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, sprays, and other stuff.

Do you usually let your hair air dry after washing or do you use a hair dryer? Using a hair dryer and blow drying with your hair flipped upside down will help give some volume. Also when drying, grab your top layers and start drying those first with the hair dryer focusing on the roots and holding them upwards). If you look at my pictures on my profile, you can tell I have lots of volume, and its mainly because of how its cut. The layers on top are pretty short and they thin them out when I get it cut which creates tons of volume.

A volumizing hairspray isn't going to give you any volume, but it does help volume stay when you blow dry and tease...

I recommend Salma Hayeks (CVS carries it) Volumizing shampoo and conditioner. I also recommend Got2B Volumizing Powder (you only need a tiny bit otherwise you'll look greasy).

A roller set can give loads of volume, as well as a round brush-blow dry.

As a cosmetologist... I recommend a 180 degree cut with layers. This adds volume and body. I also suggest these layers to be shorter but you can still keep the length long. A great product I like is Worked Up by Paul Mitchell, spray on to your roots and rub up. This product lasts all day. I also suggest a good thickening shampoo, professional not drug store. I like Redkens and Paul Mitchell bodifying shampoos and conditioners. If you have thin hair aerosol products are better to lift the hair.
