I've never returned something at sephora before, but I'm seriously considering taking back the too faced shadow Bon bons palette. I'm really disappointed. The shadows are gorgeous but they have SO much fallout. I'm finding it hard to work with them. Some of the shades I really love so I'm just super bummed out:( but anyway, I don't know if I have my reciept. I bought it with a gift card so all I need is store credit, I'll probably even exchange it that day. Will they do it without a reciept? I figure they do but I want to be sure first!! And does it have to go back to the store I got it from?

Thanks so much:)

(Kinda off topic but do all too faced eyeshadows have a ton of fallout? I haven't used them before but holy crap! I'm thinking its because this is a limited edition palette and I've heard those are sometimes not as good quality as regular stuff they sell- in general, not just too faced)

There's fallout with any eyeshadow, some more than others, and I agree the palette is so beautiful, and if you like it why return it? Do your eye makeup first and save your foundation routine for last, this way you can clean away fallout with a makeup wipe and not ruin your face makeup. You could even put a layer of translucent powder under your eyes in the cheekbone area before doing your eyeshadow to catch fallout and just brush it away when you're done.

they will accept return without receipt for store credit only, with a valid drivers license.

For returns with no reciept they give you store credit but they ask for your ID or licence because theyre limiting the amount of no reciept returns now I guess. You dont have to return it to the same store. They shouldnt give you any problems but if they do I'd ask for a manager, they'll usually do it for you to keep customers happy and coming back.

I cant answer the fall out question for you though. Im too poor for palettes that arent drugstore. :(

Just curious but what type of brush are you using to apply the shadows? I know that from my experience if I used a fluffy brush to apply I come across crazy fall-out. And are you patting the product on? If you decide to return you shouldnt have any issues as everyone as mentioned.

Elizabeth, I do my eyes first but that's kinda irrelevant. I find the shadows a pain to work with. I'm not 100% certain I will take it back but I am considering it.

Shelly I actually tried using different brushes today in hopes it would give me better results. I did use a smaller brush and pat the color on, but the rest results were actually from my fingers and I can't do a whole look that way.

Store credit isn't an issue bc like I said, I used a gift card anyway. If I take it back I think I'll just exchange for another palette, but that's why I was curious about too faced shadows in general, because I like nearly all of their 9 shadow palettes.

I've been hearing and seeing that limited edition palettes aren't always the best, regardless of what company, so I'm factoring that information into my decision as well. I'll play with it some more this weekend before making up my mind. Thanks!!

About the too faced eye shadows: not all of them do and a good palette that I love is the too faced natural eye. It has a mixture of different colors and textures.

See, that's why I think it's because it's LE. If they aren't usually like that then why is this one palette this way? I mean, one of them I used today was ridiculous. I tapped the brush and it went everywhere. I wish I had taken a picture but I cleaned it up.

I like the natural eye, I really like them all haha! I was looking at the romantic eye and another one the day I bought shadow Bon bons.

Are you a beauty insider? Maybe they can look up your purchase.

Natasha, I am. I don't think I'll have a problem but if I do, that's a good idea! :)

Alyse don't give them your beauty insider. They then deduct points just take in an I'd and everything will be fine.

You can return anything even if you use half of it! I used to work there, if you do not have your receipt you can only receive store credit

It does not matter which store you bought it from

thanks Mary!

I believe they're changing their policy though so you DO have to have your receipt. I don't know when or if it has already taken place, but I know it will at some point.

The LE use more fillers in the shadows and the waxes (holds it together or "pressed") and talc don't stick to skin well either. The more pure the pigments the less fallout, less needed and longer wear on eyes and even container lasting longer. LE are less expensive and made in China so ya never know what's in those anyways.

yikes, thanks Krissy! I had only seen that they're not made as well, but I didn't know why. That makes me want to return it for sure. Disappointing because one of the colors, peach fuzz, is so gorgeous and I've fallen in love! I haven't seen it in any other palettes or as a  single.

Yes they do it without a receipt :)

I'll have to look up that color and find a comparative shade to recommend. But yes I'm a professional in the beauty industry & if you only knew what was in most products you'd be horrified Alyse M.

thank you Krissy! I really appreciate it :) I actually did see it on amazon in a duo so I may have to order it there. If you know of anything similar please let me know, though. I'm so skeeved out about everything from petroleum in our products to god even knows what else.. my bf is always making fun of me.. but I just can't stand thinking about it.

Oh I am TOTALLY taking it back!!! Today I used colors I hadn't tried yet and holy crap. The amount of fallout is UNBELIEVABLE. For whoever said all eyeshadow has fallout.. no. I have NEVER had an eyeshadow with so much fallout as this palette. It is ridiculous.
