Heller again. So I haven't completely decided to take the plunge, but after seeing some of the good things in some of these convos, I really want to try the RCMA foundation. so I'm on camera ready cosmetics trying to decide on a few different samples. This is getting overwhelming though. I don't want to spend more than 15-20$ on samples so I can only pick 3-4. I was wondering if I could bug you guys for some swatches? I just feel like this would be so much easier if I could reference the shades to another foundation or something. I'm looking at the KA or KO lines based on the descriptions. but I haven't completely ruled out the olive shades, or even the lightest Shinto one.

Here you go: From left to right: KA-1, KA-4, KO-3, KO-7, Geena Beige, Ol-1, Ol-2, Ol-3

Some Shinto Action: From left to right: Sh-0, SH-1, SH-2, SH-3.

The SH 0 shade is exclusive to Kevin James Bennett's RCMA palette, but I believe he said that SH-0 would be released as a single color in July.

Oh my goodness thank you so much! I can't seem to find swatches anywhere and that was really helpful.
that sh 0 looks really appealing. and July is so close...lol. I'll have to see how the rest fit me and judge from there if I need it.
I just found the samples section on the rcma website and they are much cheaper so I'll be able to try a good handful.

You're welcome Aleena. I think you'll like it. It really does look just like your own skin, but better. :) I'm all about the RCMA, I love it.  :)

Thank you hailey. I couldn't find the swatches on beautylish shop but the guides on that website were ultra informative.

I wear Porcelain and it's a perfect match with my pink undertones. I run pale/fair, but in summer I lean light. Here's the pan and I'll attach a swatch in natural light.

I just got 3 samples of the RCMA foundation. If you can give them your color in one of the other foundations they sell, they will tell you which to try. Just call or email them. They are extremely helpful! I knew my color in MAC, but they don't have MAC, so I gave them my color in Kevyn Aucoin, which they have and matched me to. Then I ordered a couple of other colors that seemed close to mine.

Oh wow porcelain looks really pale. how long would you say a pot usually lasts? I expect it's a while I'm just wondering for curiousitys sake.
I have heard great things about their customer service. I did email them But got an auto out of the office till Monday reply. I'm guessing my sample order won't be processed until then either but that's ok cause we all need a break from time to time. lol

That Porcelin is quite pale and is good for my pink undertones. When I blend it, it is a perfect match. I bought that pot a year ago. You can see my Freddy Kruger marks where I've scraped some out to warm up on my hand..lol

It's hard for me to say how long it would last since I don't wear foundation every day, but the pigment is so amazing that I imagine this would last a very long time even for those who wear it daily.

The pot has not dried out...most likely because it's oil and wax based. I only wear 3 foundations total, but the RCMA is my go-to for when I know they'll be photos taken. I'd wear it more often, but I am prone to follicle issues by heredity and so I have to watch certain oils and waxes. This isn't the case for everyone, of course.

It's almost undetectable if you get the right shade...so much that I've had people ask me if I even have foundation on while wearing it; the color match is that good and the finish that lovely. I hope you enjoy it!

I wear Shinto 2 mixed with a bit of Shinto 3 this time of year, and my personal pots of don't have the 'Freddy Kruger' marks that Rozberry's does ;), but I wear RCMA probably 2 to 3 times a week, and this particular pot is about a year and a half old. The rest of my RCMA foundations are palettes.

Oh, and when you do get your samples, you really only need a tiny amount for full face coverage. The photo attached shows how much I use. I also recommend warming it up a bit on the back of your hand a bit before applying it. It is a bit stiff out of the tin, and once you warm it up a bit, the fillers sink into the skin a bit and you're left with pure pigment to apply. I hope you enjoy this foundation... I've been using it for years, and cannot go without it.  ;)

I need a spatula so my cream products don't look horrendous! Half of what I take out, I don't even need. As much as I love Freddy, I prefer Jason; his machete would leave a smoother finished pot.  ;)

Lol!! you are probably right about that. but neither of them would be able to warm it up for good use.
I am really excited to try it and I hope I like it as much as you do.
I just got an email from rcma that they won't send my sample out until at least the 22nd because they don't feel comfortable shipping during the heat wave in California. I find that totally thoughtful on their part. just thought I'd share.

Oh and they also said that Shinto 0 is available now as a single.5oz foundation but it's not on the website because they are redesigning it so if you want it you have to place a phone order.

In case any one is still following this,I wanted to check in. I just got my samples this morning and after much swatching and wiping I'm preeetty sure I'm KO-2, but KO-1 and SH-1 were super close too. I may wear them full face for a day each and see which one I feel more comfortable in. I got a sample of porcelain in case I was judging the others as lighter than they were. holy cow is that shade WHITE! I may just save it and use it for halloween. I found it super interesting that you wear it rozberry, it must be so hard to find a match normally.
I of course had to wear it immediately. lol I've had it on for about 6 hours and I'm already in love. I was super scared that the finish might be too matte or it would emphasise my dry skin. this is not the case at all! the finish is a pretty natural dew and the coverage was super impressive. I barely needed more than a rice grain sized amount to cover most of my face. it feels comfortable too, I was expecting it to feel full coverage because of the thick consistency. but I guess since you thin it out so much it takes that away. I did mix in a little bit of moisturizer to smooth it over the flakes on my nose, and even that worked out way better than I expected it to. it didn't separate or slide at all. it wasn't hard to apply either, I made sure to play with it on the back of my hand and get it warm and squishy like you all advised. I think this is that holy grail product I've been searching for. *cue heavenly beam of light* and the awesome customer service I received was a cherry on top. overall I am very glad I got these samples and I am definitely getting the full size. thanks again so much for the recommendations and advice! I am super excited about this find!

Lol That Porcelain is white indeed! I am on the pale side with pink undertones, but not as pale as you might think based on the RCMA. In all fairness, I use such a hint of product and sheer it out that it's a nice blend. I wouldn't use the porcelain this time of year, however.
In summer, I am not as pale and instead run fair...I have even been borderline medium this time of year, but it depends on the manufacturer. I use a pink toned MUFE shade that's pretty light as well. Because I stick to a few favorites, finding a color hasn't been an issue for me...until now that I need a 2nd RCMA shade I can use in the summer. :/
Not sure what shade would be a good match so samples might be the best way to go for me.

I appreciate you sharing your feedback on the samples; that was a great call.
Happy to learn that you love the foundation.
So glad you are enjoying them!

I'm glad you like it Aleena. :) The lightest, in terms of skin depth in the RCMA lineup are the Porcelain, Ivory, F-1, F-2, F-3, and F-4...These are more 'editorial' fashion shades in the sense that they are used to create contrast; hence allowing more bold/bright colors pop against the skin. Shades in the F series make for great highlight. The KA series is also good for those with fair/light skin with more yellow/peach undertones.

I love the RCMA because it doesn't produce a finish. It just looks like your skin. The only other foundation that I have come across that remotely resembles it is the Ellis Faas Skin Veil. It's $90 a bottle, and has a very limited shade range... Pretty, but not $90 worth of pretty. Just my opinion. I'm glad you are enjoying your RCMA.  :)

That's probably a good way to describe it too. lack of a finish. I've heard good things about the Ellis faus but I would probably never have splurged that much to try it. I'm so glad the rcma is affordable. the 3/8oz for sale on beautylish is probably going to last at least a year based on how much I've needed of these samples. I'm trying to figure out how much is in the four pots and the 5 shade sampler to see if those may be worth it with summer coming. *edit* now that summer has already come quicker than my gym routine was ready for
They have samples available over the phone that aren't showing up on the website yet so I would call and talk to them if you do decide to get some. they were super nice. I would second the KA shades because they are super light but they are definitely yellow. these were all my samples. KA-3 and 4 are next to porcelain. (then sh-0, KO-1, KO-2, GB, OL-1 and SH-1 on top.)
