Has anyone ever tried a grey balayage or ombre?

Hi everyone! I really want to change my hair color and decided to try a grey balayage but a friend told me that grey hair needs extra care to make it last longer and it will only lasts for a month tho, are those right? Please tell me your experience if you ever dyed your hair grey xoxo.

I have grey hair (dyed) and I find the upkeep similar to any dyed hair. I have tried many greys but the best and longest lasting has been the Ion Titanium dye from Sally Beauty Supply.

I had my hair dyed grey yesterday, my stylist did it darker than I wanted (with my permission) so it will last longer and as it fades it will get to the colour I intended. She also recommended this shampoo (and it wasn't just a salon scam, it was a product sold elsewhere) which should help to make it last longer, whilst also help keep my hair moderately healthy due to it being completely bleached!
