I've been interested in the Glow Kits since they arrived. I finally dished out $40 and bought the "That Glow". I figured they would be marginal highlighters, and the kind that really shows off bumpy skin. I was so wrong! Not only is the color payoff incredible, it really makes you look lit from within! If you've been thinking about buying one, or both, do it.
The picture I've included is just one swipe of Bubbly on my cheekbone

This is gorgeous! I've been going back and forth about buying one for soo long.

Side note: your brows are amazing!

If you're on the fence about it Beth, you should totally do it!! And thank you so much!! 😊

Highlighter looks so pretty

It's even prettier in person Jessica!
Oh my gosh thank you so much Dana! I'm always worried my effort goes unnoticed 😂
SailorMoon, the Gleam kit might work for you. It's a cooler, pinker toned palette, and one of the shades (Mimosa I think?) is a little bronzy so you could use that for family members with darker skin tones. It's definitely worth it. They're the best highlighters I've used. They also double as great eyeshadows if they don't work out so well on your cheekbones! :)

It's such a natural glow, Maria! I hope you love yours!!
And thank you Delara! 😊

Very pretty. :) Sailor, I have the Natasha Denona glow in Light. If you or anyone else would like to see a swatch of it just let me know. :)

I wish I could really get into the 'glow.' Most highlighters just don't look right on me. Maybe the next time I'm at Ulta I'll swatch the ABH Glow.  :)

That looks beautiful on you! I don't have a Glow Kit, but I do have one of the ABH single pan highlighters (Starlight for anyone who's interested) and I agree the formula is very nice! They pack a punch yet aren't overly sparkly or accentuating of texture on the skin.

SailorMoon, I've seen the Glow Kits up close in person, and if your as fair as I am I don't think I would recommend them unless your ok with some color in your highlight. Only one shade in the cool toned palette was light enough to be a true highlight on me, and no shades in the warm toned palette were. However, the other shades weren't super dark or anything, and if you like a glow in sure you could get away with mixing them or using them as a brush/bronzer topper. Or you could always try her single highlight in Starlight! It's a very pale icy white pink, and I think it's absolutely gorgeous on my translucent skin lol. And you'd get to experience a different undertone compared to something like Moonstone, so it would be a good addition to your collection. Really the formula is great, so I don't think you can go wrong either way!

Jacqueline, I'd love to see a swatch!! I played with it a little bit when I was lucky enough to see it in person in NY, but I was a bit overwhelmed and would love to see a swatch/hear your thoughts on it :)

Here they are Jamie, and thank you. :) On the far left is the Natasha Denona Glow in Light, in the middle, the Natasha Denona Light shade applied over an RCMA Cream Sheen in Gold, and on the far right is the Natasha Denona Glow in the Medium shade.

I like applying the light shade over the gold cream sheen for extra pop.  :)

It's amazing, I haven't gotten around to getting it yet. $40 is an amazing price considering your getting 4 pans, so each pan is $10.
It also looks amazing on you.

I agree Zafira! Honestly for the quality and versatility I would've paid even more for it. I'm glad it actually is worth is hype.
And thank you! I was surprised the The Glow suits me better than Gleam did because I'm on the cooler side of skin tones. It definitely is crucial to swatch things!

That is gorgeous! Does anyone know how it is compared to champagne pop?

May 21, 2016

Jamie D.

It looks beautiful! Especially over the RCMA Cream Sheen, although I have a feeling it would end up too gold for me. It really does give that extra pop though! Thank you so much Jacqueline! :) And I do think highlighters are an acquired taste - I don't always think they look right on me either. But I've definitely bought into the hype recently more than I care to admit ;) I'm a sucker for shimmer.

What brush do you use? I have the glow kit but I'm struggling to get the best results.

May 21, 2016

Rachel W.

I use the RealTechniques brushes and for my highlighter I use the Setting Powder one, Delaney.

Shengmin, I've seen a few YouTube videos and they pretty often say it's like Champagne Pop. I don't own it, but I think you could mix a couple of the highlighters in That Glow together to get a color like that.

Shengmin I recieved the glow kit in the mail today and I also own champagne pop I can swatch them if you'd like

I really love the Glow Kits. Personally I found "That Glow" goes better with tan and darker skin tones and "Glem" I found works better on lighter skin tones

But I really like how "that glow" looks on you so I'm rethinking everything lol.

Rachel W.

M G. I thought the same thing too!! I was shocked when I swatched Gleam and it looked super harsh on my skin. I think it might have to do with undertones more than skin color?

I think you are right Rachel!
