So my prom date just bought his suit, and I had already bought lipstick, but they're two totally different reds. Should I change my lipstick or does it look okay? I'll attach a picture of my dress, my lipstick, and my date's suit jacket.

I personally would match my lips to his jacket BUT then the eye has to be natural in my opinion. Since you're wearing black and a dark lip you wouldn't want to do a smokey eye or anything too dramatic. Put on the dress and do your makeup using a lipstick that matches his suit and see how you like it. I think the bright red lip would pop more but if you really want to match him then go ahead.

Agreed- I would go with a true red! I don't personally think that it had to match your date's jacket, but a dark vampy red would look great too. I think a true, classic red in a high-shine lipstick would really match the Old Hollywood-feel of your dress (which, by the way, I love!) :)
