I think you look lovely with slight side bangs like in one of your older pictures. I can't say if straight across bangs would look good but you're gorgeous so give it a shot. They are a pain in the ass to grow out though

a thinner sweep a acriss would look lovely! Thick straight across bangs (monkey bangs) would pull away from yiur natural features. Growing them is a pain but a sweep across is nice.

If you tried it once and didn't think it looked good on you then chances are it still won't. I'm the same way, I love the look so I cut my bangs and it didn't look good on me.
