My scalp has been ridiculously dry lately. I've been putting conditioner on my scalp to try to take away some of the dryness, but it doesn't seem to be working and my hair is being greasy from it. Does anybody know of anything that will work for dry scalp without making my hair excessively oily?

Have you tried heads and shoulders shampoo and conditioner? I used that during the winter because my hair gets really dry and my scalp gets flakey and it worked for me!

Dandruff and dry scalp are different things. usually people mistake dry scalp as dandruff. try putting pure aloe vera gel on your scalp. it should clear it up.

I had a dry itchy scalp for a while but no dandruff. I put coconut oil on the itchy spots. Like right on my scalp and that helped to clear it up.

Same thing happened to me over the winter. I tried Head and Shoulders but it left this residue on my hair that made it look like it was greasy. No matter how long I tried to wash it out it would be there. 😖 maybe try selsum blue!

Try Paul Mitchell or Sally's Tea Tree Oil Treatment. Relieves itching and flaking. I have psoriasis on my scalp and it is a lifesaver. Very soothing.

I agree with Reny, or if you don't have a lush, L'Oreal's Deep Conditioners work great. My mom used to have this issue really bad and nothing worked but she switched to Wen (I also use it) and it has helped her so much.
