Do you ladies think it would be safe to to a 10% tca peel at home on only my dark spots.

I'm personally not a fan of TCA peels done at home simply for the fact that users just don't take the care to fully follow instructions to a T that results in not so pretty results. Also the rate of irritation is higher with this particular peel than lets say an AHA/glycolic acid based peel. If you're really wanting to try this I would have a pro do the initial treatment and ask 101 questions before proceeding on your own for a second round. To use only on your dark spots will result in areas being lighter than the rest of your face.

Shelled can you recommend a good AHA/glycolic acid based peel?

I've been personally using M-61 Skincare Power Peels. Its glycolic acid based. Renee Rouleau has a peel that and a AHA/glycolic serum line...I've tried both...super gentle on the skin. She isn't sold in Sephora or ULTA but has a website...great products. Peter Thomas Roth has a peel system. What's cool about the peels I just mentioned is that they will not only clear up the scars but they will keep your pores free of gunk reducing blackheads/whiteheads and if you do pop up with a lil acne it will speed up the healing time. They are also much safer for home use because they are much more stable than the TCA.

Shelley, I stumbled across that M-61 peel at Blue Mercury and I love it! It leaves your skin glowy but not dry at all.
