So every time my TOM comes around (tmi I know lol) I get a massive pimple somewhere around my chin and I'm not the one to pop pimples so I let them go away on its on but I still get a scar in the end would anybody know why??

I'm pretty sure it depends on skin tone. I don't even have to touch a pimple and it automatically leaves a mark. Of course if you pick it it'll be darker. It's just a melanin thing I guess.

An asprin & water paste mix as a spot treatment works within hours.

I agree with Shanae that works for me really good once I feel one coming I put it on and leave it until its really dried over have on for over 40 minutes or so and then I wash my face

Jasmine is spot on with her response. The same thing occurs with me as well. I could let it run its course but 9 times out of 10 I end up with a faint scar and then I have to step up my use of glycolic acid or AHA serums to help it fade into oblivion. The best thing to do is just utilize a spot treatment product using clean fingers (with fingers use a patting motion versus a rubbing motion to get product on the affected area) or even using a Q-tip. Mario Badsecu Drying Lotion is a good one...it just requires a Q-tip to apply on the actual spot. Murad Acne Spot Treatment is another good one and its one that my daughter uses and has purchased multiple times. Both are under $20 and can be picked up at ULTA. Tree tea oil diluted is another good one from what other beauties mention here on BL. I haven't personally tried it on myself but it is in one of the cleansers I use and it hasn't caused me any grief.

I've used the aspirin and water paste before and it cause it to turn purple and really hard but thanks and thank you Jasmine and Shelley for that information

Aww darn. It gets rid of mine so fast. That sucks that it doesn't work for you! I'm sure you'll find something. You're welcome!
