All my friends are talking about undertones and how they are important. So how can you tell what your undertone is and is it important to know?

I agree. ^
It's basically just a way to figure out what things look best on you. Cool undertoned people look better in silver jewelry, warm undertoned people look better in gold jewelry. If you look good in both, you most likely have a neutral undertone. You can also tell my the color of your veins.
