I would definitely try using ice or something cold on your face to reduce the amount of redness and to help with the pain, and try to use a very good moisturizer, to help sooth the fresh skin.

Put aloe gel or and water and oatmeal paste. if its your first time exfoliating, try only exfoliating every 3-4 days

Aloe Vera like Shanae J metioned. All ice is going to do is possible set off broken capillaries and that is much difficult to clear up than the situation you're experiencing. And what did you use that caused your skin so much grief? :(

Aloe will help as others have said. If it's itchy a hydrocortisone cream might help.

Agree with aloe vera (:

Ice will actually calm down the inflammation. Heat expands the very fragile walls of the capillaries, causing them to break. Not ice.

This happened to me today! Ugh. You were probably to rough, as I was. Aloe Vera is a miracle worker, ESPECIALLY if it's cold.

Calm the redness by applying aloe to your face a few times a day. also use a green primer to hide redness underneath your makeup.
