Hey, I'm going to be helping out in my mums class at a primary school and when I'm not going to be doing sport, I need some cute, easy hair and smart/casual outfits! Thanks. 😘👌🏻

By helping out I mean a teaching assistant.

I wouldn't recommend jeans, even the primary school staff I see don't wear jeans. I'd say some black tapered trousers (they do some really nice slim leg ones in Asda for 6 quid which I wear for work, extremely comfy) and a pretty blouse (some really pretty ones in Primark at the moment for 6 quid, no sleeves, floaty and chiffony).

Um, I see teachers wear jeans all the time. Elementary, middle, high school. ALL
jeans is perfectly fine.

Actually, I think it all depends on what the schools dress code regarding teachers would be. At my high school, teachers are only allowed to wear jeans on Friday. But, regardless, all of Liz's options are super cute!

As a teacher, I wouldn't recommend jeans either. But it definitely depends on the school's dress code. None of the schools I have worked in allowed jeans, but I can't speak for every school. I would also avoid pants that are super tight, and obviously higher necklines etc. even though you're just a TA, you'll look extra good if your clothes are in order! Hair I'd recommend braiding or ponytail, or just plain down! Anything simple really

Les, with no disrespect meant it's a little different in the UK. I like Liz's second idea.
I work over two primary schools and they dress smartly, even the TAs. I did work experience in a primary school for 2 weeks and I dressed smart.

Here in my state teachers can only wear jeans on Fridays or spirit days.
