Hi Guys,
I know this might sound lame and I don't know if any of you guys feel the same but I feel like everyone has the perfect profile picture and I was wondering if you had any suggestions on perfect foundations or eye makeup tutorials that me accentuate certain features?
Hopefully, I am not the only one as I know a profile picture etc.is superficial and irrelevant but maybe some of you may know how I feel?
Thanks
A

Honestly my profile pictures for any of my social media are just a selfie that I'm really loving at the time. When I take a new selfie that I think I look super gorgeous in then I use that as my profile picture.
If you want your eyes to stand out then use liners or shadows in colors that make your eye color pop (:

Photoshop... Lol that's all I have to say... Any "perfect" looking photo is usually photoshopped.. Including the ones in the photos section of BL and profile photos :) we all do it.

Personally I've never used Photoshop, you can achieve a quality picture without using Photoshop.

I've never used photoshop :o haha. People use filters a lot ever since Instagram came out :) I personally just like finding really good lighting and it's good to know your "good" angles haha.

Make sure you have great lighting (usually natural light is best) when you take your photo! You can do perfect makeup and it can look awful if you have terrible lighting.
Contouring is a great way of changing your face shape a bit like for myself I use it to make my nose look a little smaller and my chin a little more pronounced.
As for eye makeup just anything that will make them pop so maybe look up a tutorial for your eye colour or eye shape. Basically do whatever makes you feel good about yourself!
If you feel like after all that you're still not happy with your photos (and usually you will take a bunch before that happens) you can try photoshop like Diana said, though be careful not to overdo it, I remember girls in high school doing that and it was super obvious. Personally though I don't photoshop any of my personal photos.

Yeah I agree Photoshop is always really obvious - same with filters or any other photo touch up apps - but yeah great lighting is another way to make a photo look great - also knowing the angles of your face and what looks best in the light helps too.

I can't handle filters or Photoshop. You are looking at someone who carries Excel For Dummies book in her briefcase so all the lil apps using filters and what not is beyond my scope of ability. I just make sure I take pics in natural lighting and then I give the phone to my daughter to crop out any unnecessary mess. Just be yourself and it will translate well within the photo.

I use filters but I've never used photoshop. I agree with Alexis. Mine are usually selfies that I like of myself.

I am horrible at taking selfies and do not photograph well at all unless I'm not aware the photo is being taken. I don't know any tricks, any special apps, filters, or anything. The camera on my phone leaves much to be desired. That said, do not judge yourself too harshly or compare yourself to all the "fixed" photos out there. Be yourself like Shelley said. Nobody else can do you, better than YOU!

Study a photo of yourself that you like and also just take a ton of pics so that you have plenty to choose from. Finally, we are often our own worse critics and so I am sure you look fine in more than a few pics!
