How do I get really curly hair without curling tongs?

I have no curling tongs but I want Afro like curly hair, can anyone help?

You can get little tiny stands of hair and wrap it around one side of the bobby pin and then wrap the top of the bobby pin around to hold it closed or use tiny little rubber bands if you have them. Then after you do your entire head, go to bed. Like I'm talking about itty bitty strands, like a cm thick. It'll take forever. When I did it, I could only do one side, my arms got tired.

Try pin curls. Take small strands of hair (damp ) n do your whole head n leave it in for hours, if you can sleep with them in do that cause you'll get the afro effect.
